Hello Everyone!

The scheduling for the first week of April is going to be slightly different than normal. Dr. Stubblefield (a.k.a. Papa Den to his grandson) and his wife (a.k.a. Nana Jane to her grandson) are going to be taking their grandson on a train trip to the American Southwest from April 3 – April 13. While Dr. and Mrs. Stubblefield are with their grandson, Dr. King, will serve pet owners coming in to Acre Hill for appointments.  Additionally I, Rachel, will be in the office during the following hours for the week of April 3-13 to dispense prescription medications and prescription diets as you may need.

The office is going to be open the following hours:

Friday, April 3:                  Open: 9am – 12pm, Closed:  after 12pm

Saturday, April 4:              Open: 8am – 9:30am

Monday, April 6:                CLOSED

Tuesday, April 7:               Open: 1pm – 6pm

Wednesday, April 8:          CLOSED

Thursday, April 9:              Open: 1pm – 6pm

Friday, April 10:                 CLOSED

Saturday, April 11:             Open: 9am – 12pm

Monday, April 13:              Begin normal business hours

I will be taking care of the animals in the clinic in the morning and evening everyday. My number is listed below and times can be arranged to pick up food and medications if needed.

For all emergencies from 8am to 6pm please take your pets to the U of I Veterinary Teaching Hospital; their number is 217-333-3500. For all emergencies from 6am to 8pm or over the weekend, please take your pets to Animal Emergency; their number is 217-359-1977. Overnight and over the weekend when the clinic is closed, all of our calls will go directly to Animal Emergency.  You may call my cell phone number and leave a message if I am not available and I will return the call as soon as possible; my number is 217-781-1932.

The Pet of the Month for April is Lucy, an 8 year old Boston terrier with the most beautiful eyes.  Lucy has one light blue eye and one dark brown eye.  Lucy knows exactly how to brighten up anyone’s day because she is such a joy for all of us who know her and love her.
