Happy NEW YEAR!!!

Hello Everyone!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Acre Hill hopes that everyone has a great start to the year of 2016!

January is full of exciting "events" for our pets.

Throughout January be sure to be on the ball when it comes to walking your dog! We know it can be super chilly out during this time period but taking your dogs on walks is a great thing not only for the dog but for you as well! January is "National Walk Your Dog Month." So with that being said be sure to bundle up and take your dog(s) on a nice simple walk.  Whether it be just around the block or even up to a few miles, be sure to let them explore!

Now, on the other hand, if your dog is too crazy or just likes to walk you a little more than you can handle to walk them, then try some schooling or training out!  January is not only "National Walk Your Dog Month" but it is also "National Train Your Dog Month."  So if your dog walks you more than you walk them, trying training out! There are different school for pets all over Champaign County. Here are some more exclusive details:

This has been mostly canine related so I also wanted to throw in a few other things about some other very important types of pets that some of us may own!

On January 5th it is "National Bird Day" for all of the bird lovers out there!

On January 2nd it is "National Pet Travel Safety Day"- which refers to all pets when being put in the position whee they are traveling in a vehicle with their owners. It is so much fun to take your pets on car rides around town, it is also a great experience for the animals as well. But always be sure to be extra cautious when driving with a pet in your vehicle.  They also do make certain types of seat belts for different animals in the pet stores around town.

Last but not least we have out January Pet of the Month- AppleJack.  To read a little more about apple jacks life visit our website and go to the "Pet Of The Month" link!!

We hope everyone has a great start to a new year and has enjoyed their holidays! Give our furry friends hugs and kisses from your staff at Acre Hill Clinic and we hope to be seeing you all around soon!

Happy New Year
